Who else watched the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards? For those of you who did, bare with me.

Here is the video of Kanye West hijacking the stage from “Best Female Video” winner Taylor Swift to compliment Beyonce on her “runner-up” job.

I’m not ripping on Beyonce here. This is a tribute to Kanye West and his irrational sense of self entitlement.

Kanye West can’t take subtlety; all the times that the media has bashed on him about his obnoxious whiney behavior and egotistical attitude, his freaking shades seem to distract him or mentally place him on that weird Kanye planet he came from.  We, the people, tell him to drop the act, and in return he does something more ridiculous than before. Do we get any credit?  No.  HOWEVER, if South Park comes along and tears you a new asshole on a highly watched television show in an almost surreal fashion, then we’re talking Kanye’s language.

The Comedy Central show skewered the famously self-important rapper on its show Wednesday night, painting him as a narcissistic figure so out of touch with reality he couldn’t even take a (very politically incorrect) joke.

Yet, on his blog Thursday, West appeared chastened, and ready to turn over a new leaf.

In typical all-caps mode, he wrote: “SOUTH PARK MURDERED ME LAST NIGHT AND IT’S PRETTY FUNNY. IT HURTS MY FEELINGS BUT WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM SOUTH PARK! I ACTUALLY HAVE BEEN WORKING ON MY EGO THOUGH. HAVING THE CRAZY EGO IS PLAYED OUT IN MY LIFE AND CAREER.”

Now if only the other problems that are featured on that show were just as fixable.

In Kanye West’s eyes, there is no ego out in the universe that could match up to his.  With the claim of being bigger than Elvis, even Ghandi has nothing against this guy.  Yes, you’ve heard me: Ghandi (a.k.a. stripper Amber Rose) is Kanye West’s bitch, but don’t go telling him/her to their face.

The second times the charm this weekend for Kanye West.  After proclaiming himself the voice of this generation, I suppose the hands have a life of their own.  Kanye West, however, is claiming that he did not in fact assault (another) paparazzi.

The hip-hop star, 31, who is currently performing in the U.K. as part of his Glow in the Dark tour, goes on to say, “I guess in all the commotion the camera scraped his nose.”

In the blog post, he also calls for strict laws to crack down on shutterbugs whose practices he deems intrusive.

“When will there be a law passed that simply enforces that someone has to ask to have a photograph of you?” he wonders. “That would seem like common courtesy. Right now the paps are above the law and the people they shoot are below it.”

Let’s get serious.  If the paparazzi had to ask for pictures of you doing glamorous, and not so glamorous, things, more than likely you would say “no.”  Not to mention, you would probably have to keep tabs on who takes photos of you to guarantee that each shoot is flawless as possible.  So, it doesn’t work, Kanye.  You either have to give up your ego or quit the whining.  Your choice.

You can always leave it to whiney Kanye West’s ego to voice what he believes to be on everyone’s minds: he is made of epic awesome and win.

“I realize that my place and position in history is that I will go down as the voice of this generation, of this decade, I will be the loudest voice,” he said in an interview on Wednesday. “It’s me settling into that position of just really accepting that it’s one thing to say you want to do it and it’s another thing to really end up being like Michael Jordan.”

The Grammy-winning rapper-producer said Justin Timberlake had a chance to be music’s MVP, but hasn’t put out enough material.

Oh, how modest of you.  I think I’m the last person in the world that will ever want to imagine Kanye as being the voice of this generation.  The 90s are already screwed up with gay boy bands, the last thing is for this era to be remembered as a bunch of people that worshiped a fruitcake dressing rapper.

Kanye West was arrested and later released on bail yesterday after what police are charging as “felony vandalism.”

On Thursday, TMZ.com reported that West was arrested after grabbing a camera — valued at more than $10,000 — that belonged to a member of the paparazzi and throwing it to the ground, smashing it.

This goes to show you that Kanye is more than a simple money grabbing whining baby whore –he’s also sincere.  Only a man with a big heart would observe 9/11 by opting to obstain from the public eye and then throwing a beat down at the airport.  Bravo.

Kanye West, despite his tough “I am amazing and deserve nothing less than all of your praise” exterior reveals a little portion of his flaky side.

A year after vowing never to perform on the MTV Video Music Awards again, hip-hop star Kanye West will close the show’s 25th annual ceremony in Hollywood on Sunday, joining a lineup that includes Christina Aguilera and the Jonas Brothers, organizers said.

West also failed to win any prizes, and accused the music cable network of exploiting Britney Spears, who inadvertently stole the show by badly lip-synching and dancing to her new tune.

“Money is money” seems to always be the media industry’s motto.  When you have an opportunity to whore yourself out to a bunch of screaming teens you do it, and regardless of all the panting and heavy petting, you have to make like a girl and act like you didn’t like it.  When they decide to eventually rear their ugly head around again, you make sure you’re desprite and horny enough to take it…Wait, what was I talking about again?  Oh yeah, Kanye West.  You hypocrite, you.

Did you know Britney Spears was going to tank on her MTV 2007 Video Music Awards performance? Well, MTV did, says Kanye West. According to Showbuzz,

“I knew that was going to happen,” he said in an interview with radio host JJ Kincaid New York City’s Z100 radio station.

By “that” he meant that the formerly immaculately toned Spears came on stage in less than perfect shape, wearing an unflattering sparkling bikini and stumbling her way through an unconvincing lip-syncing routine. And MTV knew exactly what they were doing, West said.

“They knew that Britney wasn’t ready and they had her perform so they exploited her,” the “Stronger” rapper said.

If Kanye West is such a prophet why didn’t he foresee himself losing all five awards? Maybe it’s because he’s a whiney little girl stamping his feet for an award he didn’t deserve?
