While Heath Ledger may be dead and gone, his name is alive and still kicking in the media world.  Heath’s ex-attorney has shed his snake skin in the honor of Heath’s daughter, Matilda Rose, and is suing ReliaStar Life Insurance Co. for over $10 million for failure to pay up on Heath’s policy.

ReliaStar states in its legal response that it is seeking more information about whether Ledger may have lied on paperwork and about whether his death may have been a suicide. LaViolette’s lawsuit claims ReliaStar had to investigate any statements Ledger made in paperwork while the actor was still alive.

“There’s a young girl whose father died who is entitled to this money, and ReliaStar is doing everything it can to avoid paying,” William Shernoff, the attorney representing LaViolette and Matilda Rose said in a press release.

Geez, if it wasn’t for the fact that Matilda wasn’t tiny and cute, I would say she must be one of the most unloved children of the century.  This company won’t fork over money and her father didn’t bother putting her in his will.  Sure, her family gave her Heath’s entire estate, but when Matilda gets to be 15 and, out of teen angst and childhood drama, sleeps around with dangerous men and does personal favors for Mary-Kate Olsen in exchange for drugs, they are going to be kicking themselves in the ass.  Matila, if you could read this (or read for that matter) then I would advise you to continue making blank stares and blowing bubbles in your chocolate milk as long as you can, because that’s perhaps the only reason so many people are reeling over you right now.

Vern Troyer, best known for playing Mini Me in the Austin Powers movies says it’s still hard to talk about the death of Heath Ledger.

“It was very difficult for everyone, cast and crew,” Troyer told Usmagazine.com at the Hollywood premiere of The Love Guru Wednesday.

“It’s still a hard subject to talk about,” he said. “I’m sorry.”

Talk about unlikely friendships…  These two don’t seem like the pair that hung out alot.  Vern probably saw him on set a few times and was happy that Heath didn’t pat him on the head or call him “Big Guy”.  If you don’t do that midgets think you are their best friends.

Just when you thought Brokeback Mountain couldn’t get any gayer, it hits you upside your head with this gem.

The New York City Opera commissioned Charles Wuorinen to compose a show based on the 1997 short story — which was turned into the 2005 Oscar-winning movie starring Heath Ledger (who died in January) and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Why don’t they just skip all this BS and have two guys just go at it on stage?  I mean, how are they going to re-enact that sex scene?  All these Broadway actors are gay anyway so you know they are going to get all excited.  So you’re going to have a stage with two gay actors sporting wood and grinding on each other.  Fan-fucking-tastic.

US Magazine is reporting that Heath Ledger may have fathered a child when he was 17…with a woman who was 25.

The actor — who died of a prescription drug overdose in January at the age of 28 — had a fling with a 25-year-old woman when he was 17. The woman learned she was pregnant after their relationship ended.

The woman was living with another man at the time of the affair, but Haydn says, “there is a very real possibility that Heath was the father.”

Damn.  That’s pretty impressive.  Pulling an older woman who’s in a relationship when your only 17.  When I was 17 I could barely keep from exploding in my pants when I was just making out.  Since then I have trained my body.  Now I can hold out for a massive 23.5 seconds.  Beat that sucka.

This photo was sent in to Best Week Ever showing a makeshift memorial in a San Diego Best Buy.  Nothing says “Classy Memorial” like a teen comedy, an Unrated Lords of Dog Town, and a movie about Gay Sex propped in front of a recently printed sign.  Great Job Best Buy.

This is supposedly the last picture taken of Heath Ledger. It was snapped over the weekend on the set of his new movie, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. Not sure the fate of that film now that Heath’s gone, but according to Warner Bros the new Batman will not have a delayed release.

I woke up this morning to a slew of stories about Heath Ledger’s death.  These are some of the more ridiculous ones:

• Heath found dead at Olsen Twin’s apt.
• Heath is dead, what about Batman?
• Heath Ledger had a drug problem

I hate all these “news” sites who write 3 stories every 15 minutes just to make sure they are “the source” for the latest news.  The dude just died, take it easy.  Here’s the details we know for sure.  Heath had pneumonia at the time of his death and was taking medication for it.  He was found dead by his housekeeping staff and a masseuse.  They then called the Olsen Twin’s bodyguard who is also an EMT and was in the neighborhood.  By the time that guy got there, the police and paramedics were already there.  They said Heath had “been dead for a while”.  There’s also a report that there were sleeping pills found in the area, but it is not being labeled as a suicide.

In what could possibly be the most stunning news to hit Hollywood, Heath Ledger is dead. The up and coming 28 yr old actor was found dead in his SoHo Apartment. According to the Associated Press:

NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said Ledger had an appointment for a massage at the Manhattan apartment believed to be his home. The housekeeper who went to let him know the masseuse had arrived found him dead at 3:26 p.m.

Drugs may have played a part due to the fact that a bottle of pills were found next to Ledger’s body. Ledger was casted as the Joker in the new Batman movie, “The Dark Knight.” Ledger had recently split with Michelle Williams and is survived by his daughter Matilda Rose Ledger, born in 2005.
