After police claimed [tag]Proof[/tag] might not have been so innocent in the shooting, [tag]Eminem[/tag] has decided to join Proof’s lawyer in defending his best friend. Eminem spoke highly of Proof on his website,

Right now, there’s a lot of people focusing on the way he died. I want to remember the way he lived. Proof was funny, he was smart, he was charming. He inspired everyone around him. He can never, ever be replaced. He was, and always, will be, my best friend.

Now the case has become a battle to find the truth between two stories. Some say Proof was firing shots. Others say Proof was killed over nothing. Either way, Proof is dead, the shooter is in custody, and Eminem hasn’t made a decent album in years.

If a surprising turn of events, [tag]Proof[/tag]’s killer, Mario Etheridge, turned himself in. Apparently, after Proof shot Mario’s cousin, Keith Bender, Mario claimed to be acting in self-defense. Mario’s lawyer, Randall Upshaw was quoted as saying,

Mario is not a criminal. How many criminals do you know who turn themselves in?

I once told a lady who works at CVS that I stole a candy bar. She took the candy bar back and called me a wimp.

Yesterday night, rapper [tag]Proof [/tag] (real name DeShaun Holton) was shot outside a Detroit nightclub. The 32 year old rapper was part of D12, along side with [tag]Eminem[/tag]. Investigators are looking into the shooting, which took place at 5am on Eight Mile Road. Proof was the best man to Eminem’s short lived marriage. A police spokeperson was quoted as saying,

an altercation occurred [inside the club], and shots rang out

This is terribly unfortunate. Another rapper shot dead and not one witness. I’m beginning to think you could shoot a rapper in broad daylight in front of a police department with an 18th century canon on wooden wheels and still get away with it. On foot. Going uphill.

Eminem, Marshal Mathers, filed for divorce from Kim Mathers last week after a three month long marriage. Kim said that Eminem is still battling drug problems and is looking for compensation for her heartbreak. [tag]Eminem[/tag] is worth approximately GBP 100 million and Kim wants GBP 30 million.
