Clay Aiken may have dodged the bullet a few times before in order to appease his predominantly female audience, but it looks like he finally broke down and submitted to the suspisions of everyone else who can’t stand his music — he’s gay.

After years of dodging questions, former “American Idol” singer Clay Aiken will acknowledge he is a gay man in an interview with People magazine set to run on its Web site Wednesday, according to media reports.

The caption reads “Yes, I’m Gay,” and underneath is a quote from Aiken on his decision to come out of the closet that says: “I cannot raise a child to lie or to hide things.”

That’s the spirit!  Before this admittal, I’m quite sure he discovered the concept that children aren’t stupid.  There is going to be that point when the kid will start asking how come daddy “never touches mommy’s naughty parts” and why he is always kissing boys out on the porch.  If anything, Clay is teaching his child an early lesson about not being afraid to carry on his family’s gay legacy; it’s so damn annoying and fruitless trying to pull typical “I’m not gay” stunts in order to dodge America’s fine tuned gaydar.

On a flight to Tulsa because of the four fans that requested a performance, American Idol Runner-Up Clay Aiken got into a bit of an altercation with another passenger. According to TMZ, after putting his feet on a woman’s armrest, Aiken may have been given a minor shove. This would be the most action Aiken has gotten since his fame kicked in.

Of course no charges were pressed but Aiken joked in the living room he performed in that he was beat up by a girl. So maybe he performed at Tulsa’s Brady Theater, but you don’t see anyone losing their shit over Tulsa.

Clay Aiken finally speaks out about the rumors circulating about his sexuality and plans for the future in hopes of promoting his newest album, “A Thousand Different Ways,” and his newest more-manly persona. According to Teen People, Clay Aiken said,

On whether he’s gay: “What do you say (to that question)? … It’s like when I was 8. I remember something would get broken in the house, and Mom and Dad would call me in and say, ‘Did you do this?’ Well, it didn’t matter what I said. The only thing they would believe was yes. … People are going to believe what they want.”

When something mysteriously was broken, the 8 year old usually broke it or in Clay’s case he is probably bending over a table for another man and trying out a thousand different ways to hide his homosexuality.

On the future: “I want to be a father so badly. I want (kids) one day. Not now. … I would love to adopt. There’s an orphanage not too far from my house, and I’ve been up before with church. I always thought, ‘What happens to those kids who have the potential to go to college but just can’t afford it?’ I’ve been thinking a lot lately about finding a way to pay for one of those kids to go to college.”

Adopting doesn’t require sexual intercourse with a woman. It is pretty much his only option in my opinion. [tags]Clay Aiken[/tags]
