I wonder how many Japanese people saw the cover of Numero magazine and thought how silly Claudia Schiffer must be wearing the strange clothing that only a kid from Harajuku would wear?  There is nothing really hot about these clothes except for the fact that there is a lot of layering to be under so many intense lights.  She almost looks like an alien–but then that must be why she’s on the cover; over on that side of the world asians must get tiring of looking at day in and day out.

Claudia Schiffer has claimed that there will never be world-wide recognition for supermodels again because pop stars and actresses are taking the spot light. According to M&C, Claudia said,

In order to become a supermodel one must be on all the covers all over the world at the same time so that people can recognise the girls.

“That is, for now, not least because the advertising industry is very much taken nowadays by pop stars and actresses. Supermodels, like we once were, don’t exist any more.”

Back when Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, and Cindy Crawford were in the spotlight actors and actresses weren’t beautiful. They were talented.  Magazines would scramble for models because who would honestly want to see Joe Pesci or Danny Devito with a cherry lollipop rolling across their stomach?

The pictures above is old, I know. But, as she said, supermodels are extinct and I can’t find new pictures of her.
