The big event of the season has to be the Cannes Festival in France.  And what seems to be the biggest headline?  Quentin Tarantino’s movie Inglorious Basterds staring Brad Pitt.  Ann Curry was flown all the way out there to have an interview with the new little duel, and if the chemistry between the two are as good as it is uncandid, then the scripted material must be pretty damned good.

Pitt, who repeatedly showed off his own French speaking skills — saying, “je t’aime,” which means “I love you” several times — as he opened up about his first meeting with Tarantino.

“We went out together… I got up the next morning and saw, like, five empty bottles on the floor and some sort of smoking device on the floor,” he said, laughing. “Then, somehow, six weeks later I was doing the film.”

He said the movie, which follows Pitt as a lieutenant of a group of Jewish-American soldiers fighting Nazis during World War II, was “something new” for him.

“I wish all films could be made this way,” he said. “It’s definitely outrageous, which I was game for!”

I’m sure we all do Brad, however I don’t think the entire world possessed the raw brainpower that Quentin Tarantino alone can muster.  Think about it, don’t you think he’s perhaps one of the most unconvential and successful movie directors because that large, oddly shaped skull of his provides an enviroment that allows for his precious brain to flourish?  No, and therein lays everyone elses downfall.

The dynamic duo Britney Spears and Quentin Tarantino apparently was a bust/rumor, but that hasn’t stopped others from joining Tarantino’s dark army. Brad Pitt and B.J. Novak have plans to team up against Nazis.

The Office‘s B.J. Novak is in talks for a role in Quentin Tarantino‘s upcoming WWII movie Inglorious Bastards. Novak would play PFC Utivich, one of the soldiers in the director’s long-gestating film about a band of Jewish resisters in Vichy-era France. Brad Pitt is in talks to play the leader of the band of soldiers. Shooting is scheduled to start this fall and wrap in time for Cannes in May 2009.

You know, if it weren’t for Tarantino, I could possibly imagine a decent war movie here. Instead in my head, I get a series of explosions, Novak with about five cigars jammed up his mouth, and Brad Pitt cradled in the bosom of a serpent temptress. I’m not sure if I want to mention that the Nazi’s happen to be killer zombies from the future and Samuel L. Jackson plays black Jesus with an MK47.

Two paparazzi, dressed in camo gear, were found trespassing on Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s property in Southern France. Unfortunately for them, they found the Jolie-Pitt security team.

The French Police reported that both sides are filing legal complaints accusing battery and injury.

Camo gear. Haha. They were running around Angelia Jolie and Brad Pitt’s premises in camo gear. Someone give these paps some plastic rifles and smoke bombs. Then, take away their television set and beat them with the remote control for being so stupid.

“My looks alone shall repair the homes, eat your heart out Damon.”

Brad Pitt (that is the last time I’m going to spell his name correctly in this post) will be on Larry King tomorrow talking about Angelina Jolie rebuilding New Orleans. King was on point asking Rad Piss all the right questions. When Larry said, “for someone you work with to develop emotions,” Arm Shitt was quick to reply with:

…that was after, that was after

Of course it was Mad Titt, of course it was. I don’t know why celebs have the need to deny when they were in love. Anniston is a hack. There are millions of other actors like her and she will never give a performance better than Rachel from Friends. Back to Drag Mitt (?), it’s good to see he is helping out the poor by rebuilding New Orleans instead of boring the middle and above class with his crappy movies.

While at the Venice Film Festival, a crazed woman was able to out maneuver Brad Pitt‘s security team to latch on to the actor’s neck. According to Metro, an onlooker said,

“It was scary. The security team must have been embarassed that somebody got so close to him.

She could have been anyone. Brad didn’t look too happy – at one point I thought he was going to attack her himself.”

A crazed woman grabbing Brad Pitt’s neck? Here I thought I was the only one who had this problem. There’s just something about choking a celebrity that turns me on…

In a recent interview with the Marie Claire magazine, Angelina Jolie revealed the answers to several probing questions such as “How Brad Pitt brings her out of her shell,” to which she answered..

“I don’t know how he does it, but…I talk a lot in the bath. It’s easier to talk when you’re naked…Get naked with me, and I’ll talk!”

Wait, wait, wait. So, does this mean when I run down the block naked chasing Angelina Jolie, she’ll take a seat to talk? Yea right. She’ll be reaching in her purse for the mace and we’ll have a very naked Derek Hail crying in the middle of the street.

In addition to her desire to chatting naked, she revealed that there hasn’t been much time for “Mommy-and-Daddy time.” Angelina said,

“Everybody needs individual time. Shiloh has our attention when the others are at school. Mad stays up the latest, so he gets the nighttime. During the day, I’ll go for a walk or do something specific with Pax or Z. And then Mommy and Daddy have some time. Mommy and Daddy need to try to figure out more time right now. We’re working on it, we’re working on it. Right now we’re not great about Mommy-and-Daddy time.”

It must be hell having a wife who loves being naked that you don’t spend time with…

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, who have already adopted three children, a Cambodian-born, Ethiopia-born, and Vietnam-born, are allegedly planning to add a Czech republic orphan into the mix. According to Starpulse,

“Angelina celebrated her 32nd birthday yesterday and had told Brad she felt it was time to extend the family again. Her maternal instincts are in overdrive and she felt a bond with the kid straight away. She called Brad and said she had found a child who would fit in perfectly with the other kids.”

Okay, there comes a time when you need to realize that enough is enough. Unless they plan on creating an impoverished sports team, there is no reason to adopt so many children. But, to each is own. Who am I to tell them they’re not allowed to buy babies.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are reportedly done. While Angelina was in New York for the “A Place In Time” screening, Brad Pitt was back in L.A. with the children. While this isn’t unusual for a Hollywood couple, according to the Chronicle, Life and Style mag reports,

“The whole time Angie was away from Brad, she felt like a huge weight had been lifted off of her shoulders.”

“She told me, “I’m looking forward to having that freedom.”

As for Jolie’s confession to her friend regarding her relationship with Brad?

Jolie reportedly said: “It’s over … It wasn’t meant to be.”

When a hot girl becomes single, I would usually rejoice in harmony about the fantasy of having a chance, but in Angelina Jolie’s case, I wouldn’t even want one. Jennifer Aniston is a much better fit for Brad Pitt and I wouldn’t be surprised if they end up back together.
