While rappers like 50 Cent always talk about growing up not being easy in the projects, it doesn’t necessarily get easier when you become an icon.  50 is forced to hold his own ground against America’s favorite three in the morning Tex-Mex treat, Taco Bell.

Lawyers for the fast-food chain are calling his federal lawsuit, filed in Manhattan, another attempt to “burnish his gangsta rapper persona by distorting beyond all recognition a bona fide, good faith offer.”

The squabble is over a fake letter sent out by Taco Bell Corp. asking 50 Cent to change his name for one day to 79 Cent, 89 Cent or 99 Cent to help publicize its value menu.

I suppose the only way to get around that obstacle is to just set those prices at 50.  Thanks to 50 Cent, you’ll have those munchie craving stoners lined up outside in hordes in no time.

Fifty Cent, during a call in to New York’s Hot 97, decided to comment on a fellow rapper’s (Tony Yayo) assault case. While 50 cent doesn’t believe the legal battle will hurt Tony or his crew, he revealed what he believes to be the real threat. The Jews. Fifty cent said,

For those of you who are interested, Tony Yayo’s alleged assault case involves him “supposedly” battering the 14 year old son of the music executive, Jimmy “Henchman” Rosemund. It takes a tough man to fight a child. Tony is obviously a force to be reckoned with.

Here 50 cent shows off his large ring in hopes of harvesting some disease

50 cent has recently won the award for ’songwriter of the year,’ which was issued by the American Society or Composters, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP). His album, ‘Get Rich or Die Tryin,” sold 7.5 million copies. Other artists that received awards were Annie Lennox, Green Day, and Mariah Carey.

50 cent is a phenomenon for sure. I never quite understood why his music was so popular, but, 7.5 million should speak for itself. Just like Ron Jeremy’s 12 inches speaks for itself. Anyway, I need to find a woman to take to the ‘candy shop’ so that something other than a plastic, gag, tongue comes in contact with my ‘lollipop.’
