Don LaFontaine Dead at 68

Hey! Do you remember the voice overs for all those movie trailers?  Did you know the dude’s name is Don LaFontaine?  Well guess what?! He’s dead.

LaFontaine died Monday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center from complications in the treatment of an ongoing illness, said Vanessa Gilbert, his agent.

And suddenly a lot of trailers got a lot less interesting.  Without him, I don’t think I can bare to sit through a romance preview, but I have to say, they better add a lot more explosions and burning bodies to previews to make up what we’ve lost.
