Lauren Nelson exposes Sexual Predators

Lauren Nelson, the current Miss America, has aided police in capturing several sexual predators because of her eagerness to make the internet a safe place for children. Nelson lured the sexual predators with a picture of herself, an internet chat conversation, and eventually, a meeting. According to the Chronicle,

“I stood outside on the porch, and I would say hi to them and wave them inside.”  Four men were caught and arrested when they showed up at the Long Island home last Friday, and seven more, who engaged in sexually explicit chat and sent pornographic pictures but did not go to the home, surrendered Wednesday, police stated.  All face charges of attempted dissemination of indecent material to minors.”

Lauren Nelson is going to be a great Miss America. Unlike her predecessors, she appears to be more eager to be a benefit to society as opposed to a media-whore. I think it is safe to say we won’t see a Lauren Nelson sex tape or naked pictures any time soon.
