Yesterday, during a jewelry buying stint, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden were supposedly perusing the engagement rings in the jewelry store, XIV Karats. Today, new pictures of Nicole Richie purchasing a coffee were found, where she was wearing a suspicious looking ring on her ring finger. Jocelyn from ICYDK speculated it could be a engagement ring.

All I have to say is, that is the shittiest looking ring I have ever seen - regardless of whether it is an engagement ring. What is it exactly? A hair tie? A rubber band? A piece of string sold to her by a strange and magical oracle to help her gain weight? I have no idea.
