Kate Winslet and Her Negative Childhood Atmosphere

Kate Winslet, who has been nominated for five Academy Award nominations for Best Actress, as a child was told the only way she would become famous, was if she was the fat girl in the movie. According to the Chronicle, Kate said,

“This isn’t supposed to happen to a girl who grew up in a tiny town. I was told the only way I’d have a career as an actress would be if I could settle for playing fat girls.”

Imagine how shocked her tiny town must have been when she stripped for Titanic.
