Paris Hilton pleads No Contest for Drunk Driving

Paris Hilton, who was arrested for drunk driving in early September 2006, has pleaded no contest to the charges. According to TMZ,

The judge placed Hilton on 36 months probation. She must pay a fine of $390 and attend an alcohol education program. She was also given the option of completing probation in 24 months if she completes 40 hours of community service.

Celebrities are treated much better than regular people. A friend of mine lost his license for 12 months, required community service, and received probation for his first offense of drunk driving. Now, I’m not saying he didn’t deserve it, but the fact Paris was able to slip away with a small fine and a short probation period, is just ridiculous. What about the children? THE CHILDREN!
