Madonna Nabs Malawi Boy while Father Chases with Pen and Paper

Madonna, who recently adopted David Banda from Malawi, has raised several different issues of controversy about the adoption. First, the adoption caused an uproar among a child protection group, then she failed to give David’s father contact information, and now the truth is out about the legality of the adoption. According to the Chronicle, Angelina Jolie said,

In an interview with the French mag Gala, Jolie says, “Madonna knew the situation in Malawi, where he was born. It’s a country where there is no real legal framework for adoption.”

“Personally, I prefer to stay on the right side of the law. I would never take a child away from a place where adoption is illegal.” Jolie said.

In my eyes, if there is no law prohibiting an act, it isn’t illegal. The bottom line is, after a careful analysis of the before and afterlife of David Banda, it is clear that the adoption was a success. Before: David starves. After: David eats. That’s a win in my book.
