They lick themselves, they eat anything (not excluding feces)...and you're saying you'd pick up their mouldy, slobbery ball? Those toys only cost $2, it's not going to put you out of pocket, and you're not spoiling the dog. It's not as ridiculous a purchase as those who buy clothes for their pets.
