After Britney Spears emotional breakdown on the Matt Lauer interview, Kleenex approached her to do a series of adverts for 3.6 million dollars. However, Britney decided to turn it down.
An insider said: “Kleenex thought it would help her tattered image if she found the humour in her tearful interview and did a comedy parody of it. The internet is full of cheeky imitations of the interview. And she could get people to laugh with her, not at her, if she took part in her very own skit.
She made it clear she is not ready to joke about her TV breakdown and is horrified by Kleenex’s “insensitivity”.
A friend explained: “Britney was fuming when Kleenex approached her. She wants to put that horrific TV appearance behind her as quickly as possible and doesn’t want to remind the world about it with a series of tasteless commercials.”
Britney needs to stop being such a baby. She should take the 3.6 million dollars, and make fun of herself on camera. Not only would this help stop people from referring to her incident on Matt Lauer’s interview, it would change the table drastically. We instead would call her cold-hearted for selling out her dear and cherished emotions. I guess Britney just can’t win. [source]
