Britney Spears, keeping up with her great mother and parenting skills, decided to carry around Sean Preston, by holding him up by his arms. Several child care experts, teachmorelove.org and an uneducated chimpanzee, know how to hold a baby.
With your hands under baby’s arms, hold baby upright and help baby support weight on baby’s feet. (Never hold a young baby up using baby’s arms or hands.)

On the bright side, she wasn’t swinging Sean around by one arm while screaming, “You’rfe Superman, now you can fly,” and then releasing him into the ocean.

How ignorant of you to make a post like that. I almost feel like suing you on her behalf. Hate is wrong. Try pulling her head out of your butt.
Why is it ignorant? is it ignorant because when I was a child my arm came out of my socket and I know how damaging it is to lift a child up by his arms?
People pick their kids up like that ALL.THE.TIME.
That is the most ridiculous, blown-out-of-porportion headline I have ever seen. You should be ashamed of yourself. And I am not even a fan of Britney. Poorly done.
Ok, all the people complaining about this post are prime examples why not everyone should have children.
1) People doing it all the time doesn’t make it right.
2) You can seriously damage a young child grabbing and swinging them like that (again, look at his age).
3) She is a moron that should not have been permitted to have a child, and Derek is in the right.
This is why I love the movie Gattica, the moronic responses to his legitimate post about Brittney’s piss-poor maternal instincts lead me to believe that future parents should be screened for intelligence before they are permitted to bring a child into the world.
Lily, Mirabella and Karen all shouldn’t be permitted to have children if they condone Britney doing such a thing.
She is a dumbass and should be called as such.
And yes, fucking Chimpanzees don’t even pull that shit and THEIR YOUNG have stronger arms.
I guess the chimps are smarter Derek, bring on Planet of the Apes to save the planet.
This is so stupid. Everyone does that to their kids, it’s just playing around. If it was a random person no one would say anything. People need to leave Britney alone and let her live her life.
ok that’s dumb , a lot of ppl do that with their children. This only proves that who ever wrote this is ignorant , specially wen it comes 2 children. U ever hear of ” PLAYIN ” , I play wit my lil sis like that all the time , she’s perfectly fine. o Nd her arms are still Perfectly attached to her body.

I do have a child, thank you very much. Picking them up by their arms like that does no harm. Now, if you grab your childs arm and yank on it, then that might cause the arm to come out of socket or strain the arm. Do some research, or try telling me AFTER you’ve had a child of your own.
ok–yea, it could potentially hurt him, but EVERYONE does this to their children!!! kids love it, and it surely isn’t going to hurt britney’s body by giving her a lil exercise!
She isnt intentionally trying to hurt him. People should leave her alone, she is trying to learn how to be a mother. You are no one to judge ” Regulator”. Who gives a fuck what that bitch does with her kid anyway. Stop trippen off others and do something more productive. Im sure if they took pictures of all of us all day people would critize so like I said we are no one to be judging others.
You are one very pathetic individual.
Regulator can go f*** herself
Just because some people do that to their kids doesn’t make it right!
When my niece was 7, she gave ‘rides’ to the little cousins by holding their right arm and right leg and spinning them around. The result was that my son, who was about 2 1/2 (he’s 28 now) had his right arm dislocated. It took a visit to the emergency room and several follow ups to the pediatrician, more x-rays & another orthopaedic visit before it was correctly manipulated back into the socket.
I never thought any more about it until he played baseball as a 12 year-old and his coach (who happened to be a doctor) watched how my son threw a ball –which was ’side arm’. Although he had the velocity & the accuracy, the coach questioned me as to why my son was physically unable to have his arm make the correct throwing motion.
Turned out that recalling his injury and relating it to the doctor, it was because his arm was dislocated for that one week period as a toddler.
The original doctor told me back then that a dislocation before the age of 21 makes a child more susceptible to a repeat dislocation.
I NEVER picked my kids up by their arms!
#5 hits the nail on the head! This is just another reason why that moron should keep her parenting skills hidden behind closed doors…because she has NONE. Sadly she keeps wanting the attention of the world to say “what a good mom!” and instead she brings shrieks of “WTF are you doing?!?!”
why isn’t that kid wearing a hat?
mom_of_4, you’re not really one who should be talking on parenting skills seeing as you let a 7 year old swing your 2 year old son around by his arm and leg. For shame, for shame.
Regulator- GREAT comments- These people are giving the same ignorant comment Britney did about driving with SP on her lap “Well my dad did it….” so that makes ir RIGHT?? This chick is the worst parent EVER!! It’s not just the one incident- she is consistently screwing up and endangering this child. Rather than supporting her bad parenting, why are people not more outraged? She has NO CLUE- Well, at least she spends time with her kid, I guess. Could be worse?!?!
I do have children, thank you very much. And I never picked them up that way. However, saying that she is intentionally TRYING to rip her child’s arms out is silly and overblown. Yes, you do need to be careful of their arms. But this video shows a mom PLAYING with her child. Not pulling him by the arms in anger or with intent to harm him. THAT is what I was responding to.
