Paris Hilton defended by Publicist

After Paris Hilton was involved in a hit and run, her publicist, Elliot Mintz had to defend her and her actions. The excuse is extremely unbelievable, but it is an excuse nonetheless. Elliot said,

“Did she commit a crime? No. She was swarmed by paparazzi,” said Elliot Mintz, the socialite’s publicist. “The intensity of the lights, flashbulbs, momentarily disoriented her. She backed up; there was a minor fender-bender. No injuries. She then told me she notified one of the parking people at the facility how to contact her and asked the person to please pass that along” to the owner of the struck car.

According to Mintz, “Paris is a very responsible and a very good driver, she takes her driving seriously. This was unfortunate and it will be handled appropriately.”

Did you read that? She takes her driving very seriously. So seroiusly that she doesn’t wear a seat belt or look where she is going, but she has time to wave and smile to the cameras as she destroys someones white car. Joking aside, she must be trying out to drive in Nascar because she is very serious about driving. Or, more to the point, she may want to sleep with a race-car driver to broaden her market reach.
