Kate Beckinsale insists new young actresses like Keira Knightley and Lindsay Lohan are spoiled because they have a team of publicists and stylists working for them, whereas when Kate started out, a stylist was unheard of in London.
She explains, “I look at these girls now, KEIRA KNIGHTLEY and LINDSAY LOHAN – and it’s terrifying. When I started in England, nobody knew what a stylist or a publicist was.
“You turned up looking generally like s**t. You’d done your own make-up. You’re 19, so it’s bound to be awful.
“I was grabbing flowers off the breakfast tray and putting them in my hair, saying, ‘Does this look nice?’ before my premiere at Cannes. That’s really, truly what it was.”
Kate Beckinsale left out one other very important fact. Not only are there stylists and publicists, but there are also Digital Image Editors. No matter how good a stylist or a publicist is, if someone looks like terrible, it can’t be fixed, unless ofcourse, digital image editing is used. Every picture of Lindsay Lohan that I thought was relatively sex was when she had no freckles. Kate on the other hand, is great looking when she is working out or being sexy (below).
