Hilary Duff is snide

Hi little girl, are you old enough to talk yet?

A New York Times movie critic, Stephen Holden, has described Hilary Duff’s acting as “talent-challenged.” However, Hilary has told Elle magazine that she doesn’t make movies for New York Times readers. She said,

He doesn’t really fit the demographic. So I could really care less. Look at me, and look at where he is–sorry! Would he prefer that I take some super-adult role that is inappropriate so I would have no place to grow?

“Suppose the next thing I did was this super-edgy independent movie where I was pregnant or shooting up. What would that do to my fan base?”

So instead of shooting up heroin, she decided to flaunt her fame. I don’t really know what she means by “Look at me, and look at where he is.” Does that mean, Look, I have a following of millions of little 7 year old girls that grow up and realize how stupid they were for liking me when they were younger, while they read their up to date news in the New York Times?
