Tom Hanks and Tom Cruise top the list

[tag]Tom Hanks[/tag] and [tag]Tom Cruise[/tag] were recently rated in Ulmer’s scale of actor bankability as the top actors. Ulmer said, “Tom Cruise could stand on top of his head in the middle of Santa Monica Blvd. and in Swahili quote the Koran, and someone would pay $100 million for that movie — ditto for Tom Cruise That’s gold-standard star power.” Other actors noted in the scale were [tag]Leonardo DiCaprio[/tag] and [tag]Johnny Depp[/tag] for their ability to play quirky roles. [tag]George Clooney[/tag] was also mentioned as a well rounded actor.

Tom Cruise is also a master of publicity. He will do anything for attention, probably stemming from the fact that the only attention his father gave him was a swift smack to the back of the head or face. Tom Hanks is truly a genious. Cast Away was Tom Hanks stuck on an island the whole movie and there was never a dull moment. Whereas, [tag]Collin Farrell[/tag] was stuck in a phonebooth for two hours in Phonebooth and that movie sucked.
